What this is, and what was changed.
This is an unsolicited concept redesign of clyburnconsulting.com, prepared by Makes Eleven Consulting for Commissioner Clyburn’s own review. It is not published, not indexed, and not a substitute for the firm’s website.
What was kept
Every sentence on the current six pages is carried over. Both principals’ profiles are complete and unabridged. All three client testimonials, all four quoted figures, the Latin motto, the five engagements, both outreach programs, both press items and every contact detail — including the fax number — appear here in the firm’s own words. Nothing was summarized and no client was named, sharpened or guessed at.
What was changed
| Item | What happened |
|---|---|
| “Clyburn Consuting” | typo Corrected to “Clyburn Consulting” on the record page. |
| “infrastucture” | typo Corrected to “infrastructure” in the fourth engagement. |
| “U.S. Sen. Chuck Rob. D-Va.” | typo Corrected to “U.S. Sen. Chuck Robb, D-Va.” in the 1996 clipping. |
| “P3s,SIBs” | typo A missing space after the comma, in the list of financing mechanisms. |
| “1775 Eye Street” | merged The home page omits “NW”; the contact page includes it. The fuller form is used throughout. |
| Three-dimensional clip-art icons | replaced The gray rendered capitol, coin stack and figures are replaced by IBM’s Carbon pictograms, an open set published under the Apache 2.0 license and credited in the page’s source, with a small drawn set for the contact and link marks. |
| A watermarked photograph | dropped A photograph of a Canadian Pacific train on the current site carries a photographer’s website watermark across it. It is not reproduced here, and it is worth looking at on the live page. |
| The Reuters logo | dropped The outlet is credited as text instead. A third-party mark on a page can read as an endorsement. |
| The “More” menu item | dropped A menu-width artifact of the current site builder, not information. All six pages fit the bar. |
| The /blank page | not rebuilt See below. |
| “Your details were sent successfully!” | replaced The current form’s confirmation message. The form here sends a real note and says so in its own words; a note that does not go through is reported, never pretended. |
| The three video clips | kept The same three YouTube clips, in the same places. Each shows a still from the clip until you press play; only then does the page talk to YouTube, and then only to its no-cookie player. |
| The contact form | rebuilt It posts to this site, passes Cloudflare’s short “are you a person” check, and reaches the firm’s mailbox through a delivery provider that retains message content for 30 days. Nothing is stored here. |
| A News page | added Not on the current site. Assembled on request from named public sources, each item linking to where it came from. Optional, and easily removed. |
What was found
- The site’s own page sitemap reports a last modification date of 4 December 2021. The newest content on any page is from December 2015.
- That sitemap lists a seventh page at /blank, titled “New Page”, whose only content is the words “Big Title”. It is publicly reachable and offered to search engines.
- Both “Read more” links point at http:// rather than https://. They are carried over here as secure links; both are worth opening to confirm they still resolve.
- The current site carries no social profiles. None were invented here.
- The firm’s domain publishes no SPF record at its apex and no DMARC policy at _dmarc, and no DKIM record at either of the two selector names GoDaddy documents for its Titan mail service (public DNS, read 2 October 2026; a DKIM record under some other selector cannot be ruled out from outside and is confirmed with the mail administrator). Those records are what let a receiving mail server tell a genuine message from clyburnconsulting.com apart from one that only claims to be; without a published DMARC policy, nothing instructs a receiving server to quarantine or reject such a message. Adding them is a configuration change at the domain, not a change to this site.
Photographs
Three photographs are the firm’s own, taken from clyburnconsulting.com and reproduced for the subject’s review: the portrait of Commissioner Clyburn, the photograph of him speaking, and the cut-out of the Capitol dome. Two further images from the same site are used as section photography. No stock imagery was added and no third-party marks are embedded.
How it is built
Plain files, served as written. No trackers, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording. Your browser talks to this site, to Cloudflare’s short “are you a person” check on the contact page, and to YouTube only after you press play on a clip. The news page is assembled on request from the public sources it names, and nothing is saved about who read it. A contact note travels to Clyburn Consulting at william@clyburnconsulting.com, sent from the firm's own domain through a delivery provider that retains message content for 30 days; this site keeps no copy. It reads in light and dark, on a phone, and with motion switched off.
